Psyche Inspired: "Psyche's Souvenirs"

My first project for Psyche Inspired, an internship with NASA's Psyche mission. This is a triptych of magnets depicting the spacecraft Psyche's journey to asteroid 16 Psyche. Each is made out of different colors of cast acrylic thermoplastic that I laser cut and engraved, then painted to include more colors and details. I used similar visual elements between the three, such as the overall oval shape, the stars referencing the NASA "meatball" insignia, and the font referencing NASA's "worm" logotype. The three are meant to be displayed with the cross-shaped stars pointing straight up-and-down and side-to-side.
